Bijou 110 Restaurant in Melville Shut Down By State Liquor Authority, Police For Illegally Operating as a Nightclub

Police say that Bijou 110 Restaurant at 400 Broadhollow Road in Melville was shut down because it was illegally operating as a nightclub. In response to community complaints, the Asian restaurant, which also offers an Omakase-style menu, boasts of a glitzy and dramatic space for dining and drinking, Suffolk County Crime Section officers along with 2nd

precinct officers, New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshall, and

Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector conducted an SLA inspection at Bijou at 11pm on Thursday night.

The manager and owner of the restaurant was hammered with summonses for a number of violations.

A bag of cocaine was found on the floor of the establishment. The Town of Huntington Fire Marshall and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement Inspector issued six Building, Fire and Code Violations to the owner. The State Liquor Authority also observed that the restaurant was illegally operating as a nightclub, with a DJ playing music and a dance floor. The Liquor Authority issued numerous violations. 

The establishment was closed for the night.
