Police arrested an employee at Irie Vaporization Wellness and Scents, located at 8 Middle Country Road in Middle Island, for selling cannabis without a license. Suffolk County Police took action on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., apprehending the suspect.
A 21-year-old resident of Ridge was charged with the Unlawful Sale of Cannabis after authorities discovered the illegal activity during their investigation.
Numerous cannabis products were confiscated by investigators as evidence of the unlawful sales.
The suspect was issued a Field Appearance Ticket. He is set to be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
Authorities remind the public that selling cannabis without the appropriate licensing is a serious offense and will be dealt with according to the law.
