Wyandanch, N.Y. – A 23-year-old Deer Park man was seriously injured in a shooting outside an auto body shop in Wyandanch on Saturday afternoon, according to Suffolk County Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:53 p.m. on May 18, 2024, outside of 366 Long Island Ave. The victim was approached by an unidentified man on foot and shot twice. Despite his injuries, the victim managed to run to a friend’s house on Lakewood Street.
Detectives reported that the shooter fled westbound on Long Island Avenue on foot. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
