Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Driver of Dark Toyota Prius
RONKONKOMA, N.Y. – The Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit is on the hunt for the driver responsible for a deadly hit-and-run last month that claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman. Authorities are calling on the public to help identify and locate the driver who struck Elyse Crivaro in Ronkonkoma.
On May 20, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Crivaro was in the roadway on Ronkonkoma Avenue near Third Street when she was hit by a dark-colored Toyota Prius traveling southbound. The impact was fatal, and Crivaro, of Holbrook, was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.
In a bid to find the perpetrator, police have released a video of the incident, available at YouTube.com/scpdtv under the title “Information Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run 24-320593.”
