NORTH LONG BEACH, NY – In an early morning burglary, Nassau Police are investigating a break-in at E Smoke & Beer on Austin Boulevard. At 3:06 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024, an alarm alerted the store manager, who then reviewed surveillance footage showing a thin, six-foot-tall suspect smashing the front glass door with a rock.
The unknown male suspect swiftly entered the store, unlocked the cash register with a key left inside, and emptied the tip jar before fleeing through the shattered door. The heist resulted in a total loss of $2,350 in cash and $2,500 in damages to the door.
