In a chilling discovery, Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo, 48, was found strangled on the side of Garity Place in East Farmingdale early this morning. The incident unfolded around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, when a passerby called 911 after spotting Geronimo’s lifeless body.
First Precinct Police officers rushed to the scene, where the East Farmingdale Fire Department pronounced Geronimo dead. The victim, a resident of North Amityville, was determined to have been strangled.
Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad are investigating this disturbing crime and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those who might have witnessed anything unusual or have any details related to the homicide are asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
