Suffolk County Police are on the hunt for a man who attempted to use counterfeit cash at a Walgreens in Shirley.
On June 6 at 11:07 a.m., a man tried to purchase assorted merchandise with a fake $100 bill at the Walgreens located at 863 Montauk Highway. When the fraudulent transaction was detected, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The man is described as being between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing between 185 and 200 pounds. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect.
