Acting on numerous community complaints, officers from the Eighth Precinct POP Unit conducted thorough investigations at several businesses suspected of selling fireworks illegally. The sting operation, which took place on the morning of July 3, 2024, resulted in arrests at the following locations:

  • INC Convenience Store, 695 Main Street, South Farmingdale
  • Wittenburg Enterprises Convenience, 628 Wantagh Avenue, Levittown
  • Rainbow Card Gallery, 578 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage
  • OK GO Gas Station, 767 Wantagh Avenue, Levittown

Each of the defendants was charged with Unlawfully Selling Fireworks and issued Appearance Tickets.
