A burglar targeted a Locust Valley gas station in the early hours of Sunday, smashing a front window and making off with cash and cigarettes. The incident occurred at the Citgo Gas Station located at 320 Forest Avenue at 3:47 a.m. on July 14.
Upon responding to the scene, police officers discovered that the unknown perpetrator had broken the glass to gain entry into the store. An undetermined amount of money and cigarettes was stolen during the burglary. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction, leaving investigators with few immediate leads.
The Nassau County Police Department is actively investigating the case and is seeking the public’s help to identify the culprit.
