EAST NORTHPORT, NY — An East Northport neighborhood was shattered when two men were indicted for allegedly operating a significant cocaine distribution ring out of their home there. Following a three-month-long investigation, Sean P. Kilkelly, 29, and Paul Poschmann, 44, face serious charges for their alleged roles in selling narcotics.
On June 25, 2024, Suffolk County Police Department’s Narcotics Section executed a search warrant at the residence shared by Kilkelly and Poschmann. The raid led to the discovery of more than four ounces of cocaine in Poschmann’s bedroom and over an eighth of an ounce of cocaine in Kilkelly’s bedroom. Authorities also recovered cash and paraphernalia associated with drug dealing.
The arrests of Kilkelly and Poschmann sent shockwaves through the community.
“The distribution of illegal drugs tears at the fabric of our community, destroys lives, and fosters crime,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney. “This indictment represents our office’s steadfast determination to disrupt the flow of narcotics into our neighborhoods.”
On July 10, 2024, Poschmann was arraigned and charged with multiple counts, including Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, a Class A-I felony, and several other drug-related felonies. Poschmann is currently being held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2.5 million partially secured bond.
A week later, on July 18, 2024, Kilkelly faced a judge for his arraignment, also charged with numerous felonies, including Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree. Kilkelly’s bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 bond, or $500,000 partially secured bond.
Poschmann is scheduled to return to court on August 7, 2024, and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the top count. Kilkelly is due back in court on August 22, 2024, facing a potential sentence of up to 24 years if found guilty of the top charge.
