Three Men Charged With Murder for Brutal Strangling in East Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NY – Suffolk County Police have arrested three men for the brutal murder of Juan Carlos Diaz Geronimo, who was found strangled on the roadside in East Farmingdale on June 22, according to a statement sent to litruecrime.com.

Geronimo’s lifeless body was discovered on the side of Route 109 in June. The grisly scene was discovered in the early hours of the morning, with investigators quickly labeling the death as a homicide due to the evident signs of strangulation.

After a month-long investigation, homicide detectives apprehended Gustavo Hernandez, 38, Walter Ramirez-Jeronimo, 19, and Wilson Ramirez-Jeronimo, 18, all residents of 14th Street in Farmingdale. The trio was arrested on Route 109 at approximately 6:40 p.m. on July 21st, bringing some closure to the community rattled by the violent crime.

Each of the suspects has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree. They were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 22.All three pled not guilty and were remanded without bail. They are due back in court on July 25th.

The motive behind the murder and the relationship between the victim and the accused remain under investigation, as authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the horrific crime.
