Islandia Duo Sought in Failed Credit Card Heist

Suffolk County police are on the hunt for two individuals who attempted to use a stolen credit card in a failed grand larceny scheme in Islandia. The incident began on June 1st when a credit card was stolen from a Walmart located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway. The suspects wasted no time in trying to cash in on their ill-gotten gains.

Foiled at BJ’s Wholesale Club

A short time after the theft, the pair made their way to BJ’s Wholesale Club at 1000 Old Nichols Road. With high hopes of making a substantial purchase of over $565, they presented the stolen card at the checkout. The plan quickly fell apart when the transaction was declined, leaving them empty-handed and on the run.
