Pennsylvania Man Indicted for 2021 Amityville Murder
A Pennsylvania man has been indicted for the murder of his ex-girlfriend’s uncle at a backyard party in Amityville in 2021. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Paulin Cerisier, 29, allegedly drove to Amityville on July 18, 2021, and entered a backyard gathering where he approached the victim, 41-year-old Maresse Decherson-Stevenson. Without provocation, Cerisier allegedly shot Decherson-Stevenson in the left shoulder before fleeing the scene. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police, Cerisier was arrested on July 15, 2024, at a hotel in Washington County, Pennsylvania. On August 7, 2024, Cerisier was arraigned on charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. If convicted of the top charge, he faces up to 25 years to life in prison. Cerisier is currently remanded and is scheduled to return to court on September 18, 2024.
Soccer Coach Arrested for Sending Sexually Explicit Messages to a Teen
A former soccer coach is facing serious charges after allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to a 13-year-old girl he met while coaching for the Dix Hills Soccer Club. On August 5, 2024, the victim’s mother reported the incident to the police, prompting an investigation by the Second Precinct Crime Section.
The investigation revealed that 27-year-old Kyle Justin Bradbury, of Long Beach, sent inappropriate messages to the minor in April. On August 9, 2024, Bradbury was arrested and charged with Attempted Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, Criminal Solicitation in the Third Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is currently being held overnight and is set to be arraigned on August 10, 2024, in Central Islip. Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or those who believe they may be victims to contact the Second Squad.
Wanted for Islandia Petit Larceny
Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole sneakers from a Famous Footwear store in Islandia on June 29, 2024. The theft occurred around 11:25 a.m. at the store located at 1170 Veterans Memorial Highway. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Wanted for Medford Petit Larceny
In another incident, Suffolk County Police are also searching for a man who stole a child’s bicycle from outside a Target store in Medford on July 28, 2024. The theft occurred at 3:52 p.m. at the store located at 2975 Horseblock Road. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
