Box Truck Flees After Smashing into Kia on William Floyd Parkway

Suffolk County Police are on the hunt for the driver of a white box truck involved in a hit-and-run accident in Shirley last month. The incident occurred on June 26 at 11:15 p.m. when the truck, traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway near Flower Hill Drive, collided with a 2015 Kia Optima.

The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries in the crash, while the driver of the box truck fled the scene, leaving the victim and their damaged vehicle behind. The police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the elusive driver responsible for this reckless act.
