Brentwood, NY – Wilson Felipe Andrade-Molina, 38, of Brentwood, was found guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and Attempted Murder in the Second Degree after fatally stabbing his cousin and then attacking his cousin’s girlfriend, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.
On March 30, 2023, Andrade-Molina and his cousin, Miguel Andrade-Cando, were working together as machinists at Electronic Machine Parts in Hauppauge when Andrade-Molina fatally stabbed Andrade-Cando. Immediately after, he went to his cousin’s Brentwood home and stabbed his cousin’s girlfriend nine times, almost killing her. Her 21-year-old son was threatened when he tried to intervene.
Andrade-Molina was arrested in Bay Shore shortly after the attacks. The girlfriend sustained life-threatening injuries but survived. No motive was disclosed for the attacks.
District Attorney Tierney expressed hope that the verdict would bring some peace to the victims and their families, thanking the Suffolk County Police Department and the prosecution team.
After a three-week trial, Andrade-Molina was convicted on May 23, 2024. He faces up to 50 years to life in prison and will be sentenced on June 24, 2024.
