Armed Robber Arrested After Crime Spree Targets Uniondale and East Meadow Businesses

An East Meadow man has been arrested in connection with two armed robberies that took place in Uniondale and East Meadow in late May, according to the Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau.

Brian Adams, 39, of 225 Mitchell Avenue, was taken into custody without incident after a thorough investigation by Robbery Squad Detectives. Adams is accused of carrying out the first robbery on May 23, 2024, at 7:45 pm at the Conoco gas station located at 1198 Front Street in Uniondale. The second robbery occurred three days later, on May 26, 2024, at 7:57 pm at the Dunkin Donuts located at 329 Merrick Avenue in East Meadow.

In both incidents, Adams allegedly brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the employees. His threatening actions left staff and customers in fear for their lives as he carried out his heists.

Detectives worked diligently to track Adams, who is now facing multiple charges. He has been charged with four counts of Robbery 1st Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. Adams pled not guilty to charges and posted bail on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead. He is due back in court on July 9th.
