Man With Suspended License Arrested After Fatal Crash in Brentwood

Brentwood, NY — Suffolk County Police arrested a Brentwood man late Wednesday night following a motor vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Suffolk Avenue.

Ian Fox, 38, was driving a 2017 Kia Forte eastbound on Suffolk Avenue when his vehicle struck a man in the roadway in front of 500 Suffolk Ave. at approximately 11 p.m. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fox was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Authorities revealed that Fox’s license had been suspended eight times on six separate dates. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date. The Kia Forte was impounded for a safety check as part of the ongoing investigation.
