Man Arrested for Selling Cannabis Products at Sayville Store

Sayville, NY — Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for selling cannabis products at Island Hookah in Sayville as part of their ongoing “Operation Smoke Out.”

On Tuesday, May 21st Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted a compliance check at Island Hookah, located at 291 Main Street. During this check, an employee sold cannabis products to an undercover officer. Officers seized over 100 marijuana products from the store, several of which were designed to look like candy.

Wayne Bristel Jr., 22, of Mastic, was charged with Unlawful Sale of Marijuana. He was released on a Field Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
