Suffolk Police have said they have not received reports of any credible threats in the aftermath of a drone and missile attack against Israel over the weekend.
“The Suffolk County Police Department is continuing to monitor the war in Israel,” the police department said in a statement.
While there are currently no credible threats in Suffolk County, officers have been directed to increase patrols in the areas of religious institutions, including synagogues, and additional units will be deployed if needed.
“The SCPD is in communication with our law enforcement partners,” the SCPD said in its statement. “As always, residents are encouraged to call 911 to report suspicious activity.”
We reached out to police in Nassau County to find out if there were any situations they are monitoring but police there have not reported any threats.
