On June 7, 2024, Suffolk County Police, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Postal Service, executed search warrants at the couple’s Patchogue residence and Holbrook office. The search uncovered an extensive collection of fake high-end accessories, leading to their arrest.
Wolters and Gallo were arraigned on June 25, 2024, before Judge Jennifer Henry. They face charges of trademark counterfeiting. They are scheduled to return to court on July 17, 2024.
District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney emphasized the broader implications of their illegal activities.
“Legitimate commerce is a pillar for a healthy economy,” Tierney said. “The sale of counterfeit items harms legitimate businesses and impacts consumer confidence, which in turn affects our economy.”
